I’m Bernice Clark, and most recently I was
the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Digital
Communication Strategy at Macy’s. I don’t need to build my
life around a schedule of programming. And I think this is the
way most people think about prime time viewing today. They create their
own prime time. If you’re trying to
reach a certain customer, there is a mix of
adjacencies that I think you can find that are
relevant to that customer and I think, therefore,
make your message more relevant to them. The closer I think you
can get to the real signal in the moment, when you put
your phone in landscape mode, when you have the opportunity
to skip and you don’t skip, understanding those
deeper behavioral metrics is so powerful. Video done in an
engaging, relevant way allows a customer
to see themself. And that really depends
on what that brand is and what situation
you’re showing and what do you want
that customer to feel. And video can do that. We crave connection.
