Spaghetti & Meatballs | Gennaro Contaldo | #MyFoodMemories | AD

Hi lovely people. Today I’m going to make
Spaghetti with meatballs. This is one of the dish my father used to make. What a memory,
never forget. It was the flavour of the Parmesan and the garlic inside. They used to fried
all these lovely meatballs. So I have here 250 grams of pork. 250 grams of beef. Spread
them all round. Tablespoon of olive oil, a little salt, black pepper. All this memory
it almost feels as if my father is beside me. My hands are directed the way he used
to do it. One egg to bind everything together, fresh breadcrumbs, handful of parsley. 3 cloves
of garlic chopped quite fine. Make sure you got lovely cheese. 3 tablespoons. Parmesan
is the king. Now where the masterchef comes along, start to mix. This is another memory
of my father, he used to make me do that and he used to always say to me, ah yours is better
than mine. My father used to say not to make it bigger then that because if you make bigger
then that you can’t really grasp the spaghetti as well while you eating. Put some flour on
it. They’re all perfect round. I need to fry, so olive oil, lets get in with the meatball.
Give them a quick stir. Let me wash my hands. Turn down the temperature a little bit because
it cooks too fast. So good to work on this Hotpoint cooker because it can control the
gas the way you like. It is a joy. The meatball they are ready. My father would spoon out
the meatball and he always used to make extra, so he used to come along and they used to
get this lovely meatball, look at that. Oh my God. He was the king of making meatballs
and he used to say to me do you like it? I would say yes papa yes I do like it.
That his memory I got this feeling. Anyway. Yes lovely sauce, I need to put the meatball
inside. Cover, turn that just a little bit more and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Fresh
spaghetti, what a joy. Hello Papa! Spread Spread inside, oh yes. Parmesan, leaves of a basil,
extra virgin oil. And this is spaghetti with meatballs. This is my memory, tell me yours. #myfoodmemories and click here on side to see more.

  1. If this may be an "Ad" but I wish it was longer. Genaro could make any product placement into a masterpiece.

  2. I m italian and I live in italy. Italians do not eat meatballs with any sort of pasta. We eat pasta with ragù or pesto or matriciana or with butter or cheese.. With garlic and olive oil parsely…ecc ecc but not meatballs. The italy is very little in extension but very big in variety. The Recipes and the language change in only 10 km of distance. And we eat a lot of things not only pasta.

  3. Is spaghetti and meatballs an Italian dish?
And, nothing says Italian food like a big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs—unless you are Italian. If you go to Italy, you will not find a dish called spaghetti and meatballs. And if you do, it is probably to satisfy the palate of the American tourist.
It looks delicious, and I bet it tastes the same, but in Italy we don't eat spaghetti with meatballs. We eat spaghetti and we eat meatballs but never combined. It's a mastery how it made to the third spot…

  4. Spaghetti and meatballs is not Italian …..neither is cheese maccheroni and chicken parmesan…STOP CALLING THIS CRAP ITALIAN

  5. مره رحت لسوق اشتري جبن بارمزان فكلت لصاحب المحل عندك جبن بارمزان
رد عليه كال ماعندي جبن ابو الميزان 😂😂😂

  6. Hello I'm Italian, when he says his father ate these spaghetti he tells a lie because spaghetti and meatballs in Italy does not exist and never existed and never any Italian would eat that crap. This is a recipe invented by the Americans, perhaps mistakenly and thinking it was Italian. It is a recent recipe from the 1920s, if you calculate that our recipes are hundreds of years old, or thousands. The only recipe that combines meat with pasta are spaghetti alla bolognese, (meat is minced), lasagna, ravioli with meat. Meatballs in Italy exist, but they are eaten absolutely separately from spaghetti, it is another dish.

  7. I wish the italians here would stop going off on the spaghetti and meatballs isn't authentic business. The truth is, Gennaro is a great personality, a great showman and a great chef. Just enjoy the video and remember that Italy hasn't been relevant since the year 476 AD in anything except soccer and they didn't even make the world cup this year. Please remember that your whole country is just a tourist resort destination and let us enjoy the great food and show made by this wonderful man without telling us how it isn't true to tradition.

  8. This is a world away from the absolute rubbish spaghetti and meatballs I was served at Frankie and Benny’s in Broughton Park Chester: never again..

  9. I love to to do aglio e olio and bake my meatballs before putting them in the sauce!! Its the best way for me!!

  10. I make my meatballs bigger so I don't have to make as many, but once they're cooked I cut them in half or thirds or fourths, depending on how big they are.

  11. Sadly… spaghetti and meatballs is not italian. Spaghetti bolognese is, but that is spaghetti with a tomato and meat mince sauce.

  12. This is my favorite homemade true Italian meatball recipe, He reminds me of my Uncle Tony who was a true Italian. When I would visit for the summer upstate N.Y. He & my Aunt Teresa would always make homemade spaghetti & meatballs & homemade Italian bread! OMG was it ever delicious & the sauce cooked all day long. We always had a fresh salad with the meal from their garden.

  13. nothing more annoying than having links in the description that doesn't work, especially when its the one wich leads to the recipe and not social media

  14. Then, in Italy they DO have a dish "spaghetti meatballs"? I understand that is an Italo – American dish. Isn't it?

  15. He is cooking in Jamie Oliver no stick pans but the old fashion way forget the Hotpoint add they are just a sponsor this is real Italian cooking!

  16. This is one of my favorite cooking videos of all time it's exactly like My Italian uncle Tony made his. It is a phenomenon of old style Italian traditional cooking derives from trust me I grew up in this true Italian legacy of cooking many varieties.

  17. Gennaro is a true master chef, but more important than that is he is a true Italian with passion and love and respect for his father.. as he puts his heart and soul into every dish he creates, the secret ingredient is LOVE!

  18. I am from Melbourne Australia and I tried this recipe and I tell you all right now it’s delicious, follow the recipe and you can’t go wrong, so easy, so yummy, thank you 🙏

  19. Is it just me or does gennaro sound like he has a true Italian accent mixed with bad English. It's so cute and funny😂😂😂

  20. Sorry but in my family we do not fry the meatball. My dad is from Calabria we drop them straight into the sauce….
