How to set up a Bing Ad in 2019


what’s going on guys it’s John here with
non stop affiliate and in this training I’m gonna show you how to set up a bing
ad campaign now real quick before we get into this cool video I just want to

get into this training so back to being ads so once you make your Bing ads
account you know you logged in your insider – we’re just gonna look like
this a little bit you’re gonna see stats you know of your campaigns keywords all
that stuff obviously you’re just gonna be brand new so you won’t see any of
this in here the first thing you’re gonna do is click on campaigns after
that click on the bottom right here where it says create a campaign and then
you’re gonna click on visit my website because that’s usually what you want
people to do right visit the website that you’re gonna show instead of being
ads so after that the first thing you’re gonna do is go ahead and give your
campaign a name we’ll say YouTube example after that you’re gonna select
your daily budget so I usually start off between 10 or 20 dollars per campaign
you know just for testing seeing what works so the budgets completely up to
you and then you’re gonna select your location so it’s on the fought for
United States and Canada but if you want to target certain locations then go
ahead and click on the bottom one and you’re gonna be able to enter in the
exact locations you want to target so for example if I only wanted to target
the United States I thought I type that in click on search
and it pulls it right up for me now this isn’t like other arm ad platforms where
it starts giving you suggestions you actually have to type it out and click
the search so it could actually pull up so after that I’ll go ahead and click on
target and the United States has been added so any other country you want to
target go ahead and enter that inside of here click the search and add it in as a
target after that what you’re gonna do next is go ahead and uncheck the bottom
box right here the second box after the who where it says who should see your ad
uncheck the second box because what this is right here is people from all over
the world could actually see this ad even though you are you’re only
targeting the United States maybe somebody in Asia or Australia they’re
using a u.s. browser they’re gonna be able to see your ad so what you want to
do is only target people that are inside of your location so people that are only
in the United States because maybe the offer you’re promoting is only available
in the US you can if you can’t sell it anywhere else in the world so you want
to make sure you only leave the top box checked out right there next just go
ahead and add in your languages that you want I’m going to leave it on English
then click on save and go to the next step right here you’re gonna build up
your ad groups now this is a little bit confusing because you know especially if
you’re brand new to setting up ads basically the way it works is inside of
your campaign you have ad groups and inside of your ad groups you have
keywords okay so the reason it’s like this is let’s say you wanted to target
different sets of keywords maybe you’re selling an iPhone case for the iPhone X
and maybe the iPhone 8 so inside of one of your ad groups you can name it the
iPhone 8 case and your other ad group we’re gonna open it up and we’re gonna
make this the iPhone X so inside of this ad group we’re only gonna target
keywords that have to do with iPhone 8 cases right so we could type in an
iPhone a case hard iPhone a case shockproof and so for every new keyword
that you want to add in you want to make sure you put it on the next line every
new keyword always added to a brand new line and the way basically we’re
says you have three different type of targeting so you have the broad match
the phrase match and the exact match our broad match is going to basically target
anybody that enters an iPhone 8 or iPhone eight case a phrase match would
target people that actually type out this phrase right here so if somebody
typed in iPhone 8 create iPhone a case hard pink or blue or whatever color they
want it’s this keywords gonna show up but that’s gonna be for a phrase match
so if you want a phrase match go ahead and put that in quotes put posts around
that exact keyword and it actually tells you that like inside of the box right
here guys so this isn’t anything hard to understand but if you want exact so if
you want somebody when somebody types in iPhone 8k shockproof if they type those
exact words in and you want your ad to show up then you want to put it inside
of brackets oops inside of brackets like these right here
I’ll go ahead and show you one those type of brackets right there so make
sure you put the keyword inside of brackets so again you have your broad
match your phrase match and your exact match broad match is gonna be really
open you’re gonna get a lot of different type of traffic so I try to stay away
from it then you have your phrase match and your exact match so again phrase
match is gonna be if somebody types in the phrase of your keyword so if
somebody types an iPhone a case hard pink or blue whatever color they want
again your dad’s gonna show up and if you want exact if you have it in in
brackets they’re gonna have to type in this exact keyword in right here for
your ad to show up if they don’t type in these exact words then your ads not
gonna show up and for a different type of targeting it gets a little bit more
expensive so the cheapest one is broad match then phrase match is a little bit
more expensive and if you want to exact match it that’s gonna be the most
expensive one so inside of here we’re gonna add our other ad group and just
add in a few keywords and again make sure you add a new keyword to a new line
every single time you don’t want to put it right next to the old one or to the
last one for every keyword you want a brand new line once you created your ad
groups and your keywords go ahead and click on save and go to the next step
where you’re going to create the ad itself so again we had
our ads for iPhone a case in our ads for iPhone X case so inside of here I’m
going to click on create ad and then I’m going to add and the first thing you’re
gonna do is add in your URL so this is gonna be the exact website people go
through after they click on your ad so for right now I’ll just go ahead and
type in my YouTube channel and then you’re gonna start building the ad
itself so first you have the titles you had three different sections you don’t
have to use all of them so the first one is also an iPhone a case shock-proof protects from Falls up to ten feet so as
you can see right here as I’m filling out the title it’s changing over on my
right hand side so this is the title part right here so anything that I type
in right here it’s gonna automatically change and show me on an example whit on
my right-hand side and after that you have your description so that’s gonna be
the bottom right here so you have two different boxes again you don’t have to
use both of them it’s just that you’re kind of running out of room on one of
the boxes because you only have 90 characters and again as you can see here
as I fill it out it’s changing over here on the right hand side to give me an
example of exactly what its gonna look like so once I have that set up those
are the three sections right there you have your main URL your title and your
description box you could leave the rest of it alone just go ahead and click on
save or what you can do is click on save and create another so if you want to
create another variation if you want to start testing out different ads all you
have to do is click on save and create another and it’s gonna create another
one but everything’s gonna be left the same for you so maybe you only want to
change the second part of the title right the second title and maybe you
want to change the description only and again as you can see here as I change it
it’s changing over here on the right hand side so again what’s very important
that you do create different variations test out different type of ads to see
what’s working out and what people are actually clicking on so once you create
it two or three different ads I usually start off with two sometimes three go
ahead and click on save and you’ll see the two ads you’ve just
created right here then go ahead and create an ad for the other ad group if
you have another one if you don’t that’s fine if you only had one ad group that’s
okay so once you’re done with that scroll all the way down to the bottom
and click on save and go to the next step inside of here you’re gonna get to
see your daily budget again and what you’re gonna do is change the bid
strategy so what I usually do is try to is go for manual go for manual use the
bid that I said if you want traffic right away if you want to start testing
all your ads as soon as possible start getting the most clicks to them then
click on maximize clicks which is sometimes what I do when I want to start
the testing process seeing exactly what works I use maximize clicks if not and
shows use manual bid because if you do use maximize clicks then you’re gonna
run through your budget pretty dang quick the traffic does come in pretty
fast guys so after that go ahead and click on save and you’re gonna see this
box right here that’s telling you that your ad has just been created it’s gonna
go through the review process and once it’s been approved it’s gonna be live so
again just telling you that your ads being reviewed right now click on got it
and so after that you’re gonna see the campaign you just created right here
it’s gonna be the first one go ahead and click on it and we’re gonna change a
couple of the settings inside of here because what I don’t like is that Bing
ads automatically sets up the settings for your campaign and you definitely
don’t want to do that because it’s gonna burn through your budget real quick on
the wrong keywords so the first thing you’re gonna do is go ahead and click on
the campaign and then click on settings after that you’re gonna scroll down to
the bottom you’re gonna see all the settings that you set up for your
campaign well scroll down to the bottom and right here you get to target your
exact demographic so if you want to if you want to change the schedule of your
ad if you only want it running Monday through Wednesday or Monday through
Friday you change that inside of here you can also change the device so if you
only want to target desktop or mobile phones you could change that inside of
here and also your demographics so if you only want to target you know people
from 18 or 24 or people from 50 to 64 you change that inside of here so make
sure you change this and adjust this based on the offer you’re promoting and
at the bottom you also have your audience and so right here I usually
always decrease this right here I usually always decrease
this by a hundred so very important what audience ads are basically you know
sometimes you’re on a website and you’ll see kind of a random ad that’s these
type of ads working with it’s an audience that you definitely don’t want
that you only want your ad to be shown when somebody goes to being goes to the
search bar and types in a keyword so make sure you decrease the audience ad
by a hundred percent and then then go ahead and click on save and so after
that like I mentioned you have your campaign and then you have your ad group
you’re going to click on one of your ad groups and Satre there you can see the
keyword for that exact ad group but you also want to change the setting of this
ad group so click on settings scroll down to the bottom and what you’re going
to do is click on add distribution so inside of here
you’re gonna choose either being and search partners only or syndicated
partners these two are the ones you want to be testing it’s automatically going
to be on all search networks what you don’t want so you only want to test out
one of these two right here the one that I always start off with is searched and
operated only right here so it’s basically only gonna be working on being
a Oh a yahoo these search engines right here if you tested this out you’re
getting good results with it and I say go ahead and test this ad ad group right
here with a syndicated partner see what type of traffic comes your way but only
test one at a time right here after that you’re going to click on add row tation
and what you want to do is rotate ads more evenly so when you set up a
campaign you know any ad campaign you have two different ads right your ad
platform like being ads is gonna naturally start giving one of the ads
more traffic as its performing better because it sees that it’s performing
better than the other one it’s going to naturally give the other one more but
this is actually bad because the other ones not getting enough traffic so you
don’t know if it’s actually working or not you’re not taking it through the
proper testing process so you don’t know if it’s actually getting results or not
so you want to make sure you only rotate as more evenly right here that way both
for your ads are getting the same amount of traffic as you’re testing them out
and you can see which one is actually converting better because again if being
at start seeing that the left one starts you know performing better little by
little it’s going to give it naturally more traffic and less to
which is bad at first when they’re just testing out you want to make sure you’re
giving both of them the same amount of traffic once you’re done with that click
on save and then go ahead and do it through the other ad group that you
created so right here we have two ad groups if you only created one ad group
that’s fine and so lastly the way it basically works again is you have your
campaign right inside of your campaign you have your ad group when you click on
one of your ad groups you have the keywords for this ad group so in this ad
group we’re only targeting keywords they have to do with iPhone a case so inside
of here you can change the ad that you created so here are the two ads that we
created to go ahead and open one up and they got disapproved which sucks huh
so to change it up and edit it all you have to do is click on the little pencil
that you just saw and you can edit anything inside of here if you’re doing
tracking then you want to open up this ad URL options and enter your tracking
link inside of here that’s if you’re using like clickmagick or any of the
tracking tools then just click on save if you’re done editing everything if you
don’t want to edit it that’s fine and again all you have to do is click on the
little pencil right here if you want to change anything of this ad copy click on
the pencil and it opens it up right here you could change the URL you could
change the title or the description and then click on save and so the last last
thing I want to go over is the dimensions tab over here so if you come
all the way down here you have the dimensions tab inside of here you could
change this right here to search terms once you do that you’re gonna be able to
see the exact search terms people are looking up then are clicking on your ad
so if somebody goes into being and tags in iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 case blue
whatever that’s gonna show up right here the exact keyword that somebody typed in
is gonna show back here obviously I’m not running this ad right now so there’s
nothing back here but again all you have to do is go to the dimensions and click
on search term to see exactly what keywords are working and see exactly
what people are looking up to see if things are working out right you know
you’re targeting the right people or the right keywords and alright guys that’s
