so I get this question all the time how
does Facebook price their ads right and why are the costs always changing so I
just want to dive into this right now in this video you know I spend millions of
dollars on Facebook ads so I see every single change and I bring all of the

we’re gonna be talking about Facebook ad costs they sure seem like they have
doubled if not tripled I want to tell you why and also how you can fix it

let’s jump right into Facebook ad cost why are they why do they feel like it’s
just twice as expensive as they used to be well number one there have been
there’s been an explosion of advertisers advertising e-commerce products courses
whatever it may be there’s a ton of gurus out there everybody’s teaching
something or selling something on Facebook ads because there is a low
barrier to entry and this is how any market goes somebody will find something
that works its e-commerce dropship in and then they’re gonna tell their
friends or they’re gonna sell a course showing you how it works which brings in
more and more competition and it’s just a bidding algorithm it’s all it’s you
know I bid for inventory you bid for inventory if we’re going bidding towards
the same inventory well that inventory is gonna get more
expensive so naturally it’s going to continue to grow and grow and grow but I
want to tell you a couple ways that you can kind of keep your cost down and make
sure that you’re profitable first and foremost go back into your funnel
whether it’s your store whatever it may be and make sure every
thing is on point make sure your brand is on point make sure you have a phone
number you have an email address about us every little thing you can do to make
that conversion right better it will help your Facebook Ads
yes it might be the same cost per impression but you’ll monetize higher
but now going to the Facebook side it’s really about testing more if your ads
are costing more now than they were you know a year ago think about testing more
images or more videos videos are the best hands down I don’t even use images
but test more videos test more audiences over here on add show you can see that
you can go in here create new videos you can have your different audiences you
can see we use thousands of look-alike audiences the more audiences you use the
better you can create a new post make a ton of new posts so you can you know
test every single angle test different copy test different descriptions
everything you can this is the time to be testing more because the competition

interests all of these interests right here and combine them with these page
posts or these videos and you can make hundreds or thousands of ads with a
click click of a button I used to sit here and spend you know
eight hours posting ads because I knew the more ads that I launched the more
winning ads out find doesn’t matter what the
competition is because at the end of the day if I’m using automation to launch a
hundred ads in the same time it takes you to launch you know ten ads I’m gonna
I’m gonna dominate you right so use automation tools whether it’s add chill
or something else that’s how you’re going to get your cost back down because
you’re gonna find these hidden pockets you might find a different interests
that works really well or a different audience or a different video or a
different type of copy make sure you’re using automation to keep those
down because the only thing that’s going to happen is this is gonna get more
expensive and more expensive because people are gonna figure out how to be
successful with Facebook ads and they’re just gonna keep mine and gurus are gonna
keep teaching and all that good stuff so hopefully what happens is the Facebook
ad costs push out a lot of the competition because they can’t make it
profitable we’ll see we could be in a bubble you know at the top where
everybody’s trying to do Facebook ads because there’s no profitable but nobody
can figure it out hey we could be at that point but the
bottom line is if you test more than your competition you will it doesn’t
matter what the costs are you’ll perform better than anybody else so now I have
this product here on the left and I wanted to just show you a sample of ad
chose automation usually it takes an hour and hour and a half to launch a
product on Shopify to see if it’s a winner or not what I’m gonna do is I’m
just gonna launch it like in five minutes here I’m gonna make a video of
some images of this product right here it’s like a do-it-yourself paintbrush
paint kit so I’m just gonna make sure that that’s very clear I’m using these
pictures right here and on adjure watch this usually this is like an hour
process right here just making the videos so you’ll be able to see this in
a second let me go ahead and upload those two images and then let me upload
this image and we’re gonna make a video and DIY painting let’s make it one
second let’s call this DIY painting and then I’m gonna make the thumbnail red
actually and click make video so that right there you can see if you are using
Facebook Ads if you’re using images turn them into videos in like two seconds and
so spending all your time and all your money trying to make videos with a
product you don’t even know if it’s gonna work so this is just like a
baseline video and it’s gonna perform so much better than anybody else’s and this
just goes into the fact hey test more and you’ll keep your costs down right so
while this uploads I’ve already made a link to my store and I have it here
and I’m gonna say do you love to paint grab yours here and then I’m gonna use
this link so just go ahead and post it on your Shopify store your click little
store isn’t this DIY painting awesome okay who is your painting buddy or
something you know let’s put some emojis in here see if they have a paint one
they do I’m so happy with all the emojis they’ve been adding it’s pretty great so
now I have my copy written we have to make the page post so making the page
post is super simple you just go over to the post page you put in whatever page
you want you find your video I think this was mine DIY painting and then I’m
gonna post in my copy you could also upload a video if you already have one
then I’m just gonna wait for it to upload now this is gonna take a second
or two and there we go now it’s uploaded directly to Facebook ads and I’m almost
ready to launch this product then we just go into the interest maker and add
chills really really cool as a it pretty much if you see here I can type in cats
and it will so just all of these different interests that are based off
of cats so these are out of Facebook’s interests their audience insights the
research that we used to do for an hour you can add them to a folder of course
I’m not gonna use that one I have a painting one I believe already set up
that I’ve done before so I’m just gonna go here I’m gonna find a campaign let me
refresh these campaigns here I’m actually on the wrong account now that
I’ve realized that go ahead and get on the right account and all I’m gonna do
is take a campaign that has been running already I’m gonna click show all ad sets
and I’m pretty much gonna duplicate that old
that’s going to my correct pixel I’m gonna call it add chill DIY painting and
March I’m gonna make it three dollar budgets per ad sets I’m gonna click that
new page post here I’m gonna go back to the post actually and make sure that I
have it saved where did I put that thing okay here it is I call it DIY click a
little Save button here and then all we’re gonna do is find that page post
DIY put it in there and then we’re gonna pick those few interests that we have so
I’m just searching for DIY paints I already made one printmaking oil
painting painting andy warhol that’s five of them so five times three dollars
that’s fifteen bucks and I’m gonna I’m gonna be able to see how many clicks how
many antique arts and so on by clicking schedule now and boom just like that
I’ve launched a product so you can see this is just one element of add chill

stuff of all of these niches so like I said these days in Facebook Ads
the only people really crushing it are the ones who have the combination of the
perfect audience the perfect creative and the perfect copy Facebook ads are
getting more and more competitive by the day so if you can’t identify those three
things and combine them your results are not going to be as great as your
competitors and we both know every single day ads are getting more
expensive and more competitive and the prices are not going to go down with the
surge of marketers just flocking the Facebook ads because of the endless
amounts of data it’s just simple supply and demand right
more marketers that the ad costs are gonna go up right so as more marketers
come in and they want to advertise on Facebook the prices will continue to go
up making it harder for you to acquire customers clients users purchasers
whatever for the price that you want now how do you find that perfect creative
copy and audience so you see results that you’ve never seen before and it’s
simple the same exact way that anybody who is great at anything does it they
put in their 10,000 hours they test they practice they practice they practice you
know Edison we all know that he failed a thousand times before he
the lightbulb but guess what he made 999 tests tweaking testing and refining his
formula before he created light bulb and we all know Wayne Gretzky you know you
missed 100% of these shots you never take and that’s so true and doesn’t it
hold kind of the same for testing different images or different videos if
I test one image or video am I gonna see as good a results if as if I test 10 or
20 probably not if I test 20 I’m gonna see a couple huge winners I’m gonna see
a lot of losers but I’m gonna take those winners and combine them with other
elements and if I never would have tested those 20 different videos then I
would have never seen those results in Michael Jordan you know one of the best
basketball players ever he said I’ve failed over and over and
over again in my life and that is why I succeed and it’s so true look we all
know that word sell if you test one type of copy but you don’t go on and test 10
20 30 you’re not gonna find which words really relate to your audience but if
you sit there even if you’re not a good copywriter if you sit there and you
write 10 20 30 different types of copy you launch them to your ads one of them
is gonna stand out maybe two three are gonna stand out they’re gonna really
relate to your audience and you’re gonna keep rolling with those boom you just
doubled your conversions now whatever you think of Kobe Bryant you have to
respect his his sickening work ethic this is just a little quote he says you
wake up at 3 you train at for 4 to 6 come home eat breakfast relax now you’re
back at it and 9 to 11 relax back at it again from 2 to 4 now you’re back at it
from 7 to 9 by year 5 and 6 it doesn’t matter what kind of work they do during
the summer they will never ever catch up and that is so true
if I am competing with you and every single day I’m testing 10 20 different
look-alike audiences you know I scale the winners kill the
losers every single day I do that and I know that you’re sitting there testing
maybe 5 10 per week or per month what’s gonna happen I’m gonna find so many
audiences I’m gonna crush it right so if you sit down and you test audience after
audience after audience and you just have a sick work ethic and just do it
over and over again you’re gonna find so many profitable audiences and you
combine them with your new creative and your new copy and you absolutely crush
it right that’s how it works if you test more you find more winners right the
more you the more you score right now you might
be asking yourself but how do I test all of these ad combinations every single
day I only have so much time right we have like 956 other things so doing our
business we can’t just sit inside of Facebook ads all day switching things
out making new tests duplicating fiddling with Facebook ads right so let

the manual bidding same thing I can see say hey at you let me see all of my
winners and then I can manual bid on him click click I want to increase the bid
here I want to lower the bid here you know I want to turn this one on I want
turn this one off across multiple campaigns across multiple accounts at
the same exact time but what about new campaigns maybe new products new
services whatever I need to find some new audiences well instead of going over
to audience insights or stocking your competitors customers pages to see what
their interests are how about typing into ad show one interest and ad chill

dark posts or on your page instead of filling with Facebook you can just
