Billboard is partnering with my Alma Mater, New York University! We’re teaming up with the NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music to launch a unique educational program focused on, what else, the music industry! “Music Industry Essentials,” will teach students all there is to know about the biz, and provide a solid foundation for a successful career in music. During the online courses, students will dive deep into the industry, learning about everything from music production, to the evolution of recorded music, streaming rights, and fan engagement. Plus they’ll get advice and real-world case studies from some of music’s most well-established experts. Several voices from Billboard, NYU’s staff and other leaders from across the industry will share their insights. The new partnership is in association Yellowbrick, a New York-based organization that helps facilitate learning experiences alongside top universities and brands. Students who finish the “Music Industry Essentials” program will receive a certificate of completion from NYU and be one step closer to becoming one of the industry’s leaders of tomorrow.
